Short breaks
Many people use St Austell as a base to visit The Eden Project, Heligan Gardens and the National Trust properties in the area. We will be pleased to provide information about all of these, including public transport details.
But there is so much more to see...

Take the time...
Why not take time to come and be refreshed, and explore "real Cornwall". It is very easy to get off the beaten track, and we are always pleased to share our local knowledge with you. We are keen walkers ourselves, and can lend you maps and suggest routes for both long day hikes or short strolls. Our house is centrally heated, and provides a very warm, comfortable base for short or longer breaks out of season. We can provide drying facilities for boots and walking gear etc.
Each season of the year has its own special attractions and colours. Cornish gardens are at their most colourful in spring, and the cliffs and woods are often covered in wild flowers. The climate is usually mild in autumn and winter, making it ideal for exploring without any traffic queues.
